Course Description

Our APST aligned, three-part micro-learning series has been developed to target three aspects of teaching practice that are key to providing best-practice supports for autistic students. Goal setting, social-emotional skills and preventing and responding to behaviours of concern.

This third module of the micro-learning series will give you a better understanding of why social skills are important and ways to prioritise social skills in education settings. It presents links between social skills and functionally equivalent replacement skills and is aligned to APST standards 3.1 and 4.1.
